RSS worker confesses their role in Muslim youthʹs killing in Kerala, footage submitted to court
In a significant turn to the Fazal murder case in Kerala, a RSS worker who is in custody in another case has reportedly made a confession that the National Development Front worker at Thalassery, was hacked to death by a group of RSS workers, including him. Fazalʹs brother Sathar has submitted the footage of the confession to the court on Friday, which was reportedly made to the state police by the RSS worker Subeesh, The latest revelation in the case is a set back for the CBI, which has filed charge sheet in the case accusing CPI (M) in the case
Two important CPI (M) leaders were arrested in the case earlier and now they are out in bail. Due to strict bail condition imposed by the court these leaders could not enter into Kannur district which is their home district.
Subeesh, who is also an accused in the murder of CPI(M) worker K. Mohanan at Valankichal near Koothuparamba here on 10 October last year, has also confessed that the after the murder the assailants had gone to the RSS office in Thalassery
Fazal an NDF worker, according to Subeesh, allegedly used to destroy flags and boards of RSS and it was the motive behind the killing of the youth on 22 October 2006. According to his confession other RSS members who participated in the killing are Shinoj, Prameesh and Prabheesh.
Fazal had been a CPI(M) worker before he joined the NDF.
The CBI had arrested eight people, including CPI(M) local leaders Karayi Rajan and Karayi Chandrashekharan. According to the CBI, the murder was masterminded by Rajan and Chandrashekharan and executed by the others. The CBI found that the plot to kill Fazal was hatched on account of political animosity.
CBI has maintained that Subeeshʹs confession need not be taken into consideration as there were enough evidences against the CPI(M) leaders. However, Fazalʹs brother moved to the court seeking re-investigation after which the court asked him to submit the footage of the confession.
Along with the confession statement, cops have also unearthed voice clippings of phone calls between Subeesh and other RSS leaders after the murder. The phone calls includes graphic descriptions of how Fazal was killed.
Subeesh has also confessed during questioning that the RSS group was been behind the murder of Pavithran at Chittariparamba in 2014. The police had also approached a local court seeking a further investigation into the Pavithran murder case in view of the latest disclosure.
