MLM Collective In China’s Message Of Solidarity To CPI (Maoist) During Martyrs’ Week 2025

To the Comrades of the Communist Party of India (Maoist)

Greetings!

We are Marxist-Leninist-Maoist revolutionaries from China. May 21, 2025, was a day of deep sorrow for us—we learned of the martyrdom of Comrade Basavaraj. On that day, our editorial collective came together to write a short article in Chinese, doing our utmost to spread the news among the revolutionary left in China. Our commemorative article was made into a video and circulated on China’s tightly regulated internet platforms. Tens of thousands of Chinese youth solemnly commemorated Comrade Basavaraj and were deeply moved by his great revolutionary spirit.

In our tribute, we wrote:
“We will make your convictions our own. Where you have fallen, we shall plant more seeds of belief; in the night of your slumber, we shall kindle a fiercer spark. We will make your name a clarion call, your spirit a blazing flame, and your sacrifice a hammer for millions to rise in resistance!”
We also wrote:
“We must not let grief drown our faith. The spirit of Comrade Basavaraj will become the wind that flutters our battle flags, inspiring us to continue the struggle for the liberation of the oppressed masses. The enemy can kill a fighter, but they cannot destroy the will of the revolution; they can extinguish a flame, but they cannot stop the wildfire from spreading. Let us inherit Comrade Basavaraj’s legacy, make his ideals our direction, continue to sow on the land where he bled, and press forward in the struggle he left unfinished!”

The socialist revolution in China and the new democratic revolution in India are one and the same—closely connected. Though we have not yet founded a party, we are moving forward under the guidance of Marx, Engels, Lenin, Stalin, and Mao Zedong, toward party-building and seizing political power. The revolutionary left in China has a long history, emerging after the counter-revolutionary coup of October 1976. From 1976 to 2025, China’s revolutionary left has established its basic orientation and methods, and new theories have also been born from revolutionary practice.
