Fascism, State & Family: Why I Became Underground (UG) Underground political activist Open Letter

I am writing this letter in response to the situation that has arised since I left my family home. Many of you, especially the media people might be wondering where I am, or what that means, when a comrade tells you I left home because of ideological disputes with my mother. My name is Vallika (Val) Barashree, I am the daughter of Archana Verma (IAS officer of 1995 batch, currently working at Joint Secretary level), and this is our MLM (Marxabad-Leninabad-Maoabad) politics, and this is the reason I became the underground (UG). This letter simultaneously explains why we can only act in the UG way in the attack of current Brahminist Hindutvaist Fascist (BHF) regime.

Imperialism, Fascism and India’s situation:
We’re living in a time of horrible response right now—while capitalism/imperialism strengthens its suppression on exploited and oppressed people and countries, and fascism strengthens to protect money’s interest. The global imperialist system in crisis, US imperialism is weakening. US imperialism is now a desperate paper tiger, trying to loot the wealth of exploited countries. Imperialist capital seeks new markets and investments as expansion capacity reaches limits. India is an important field for imperialism, especially for US imperialism. So US imperialism has joined hands with the ruling class of India, ensuring uninterrupted access.

Why does Indian ruling class approve that? Because India is a semi-colonial, semi-dictatorial society—reliant on imperialist capital to sustain the debtful and dependent economy. As a result India is not truly free, never was. The production system determines the character of the ruling-class—formed by buyers bureau capitalists and parallel landlords. Behind them are the Kroidas bureaucratic state, paving the way for imperialist capital. (The writings of Rona Wilson are helpful to former General Secretary of SEC and CPI(ML) People’s War).
Dimitrov explained—Fascism is the publicly terrorist, suppressive and violent form of money, emerging to defend themselves during crisis. So when the global imperialist system is in crisis, the buyers join hands to serve the imperialist fund.

MLM is the biggest enemy of US imperialism. So former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said, “Naxalism is the biggest internal threat in the country. “Why bloodthirsty salwa judum legalized through DRG? Why CIA’s mind-winning strategy of “Operation Anaconda” was adopted to Operation Green Hunt? And why did prime minister Modi declare that CPI (Maoist) will be dismissed by March 2026? —This is the proof of the feudal eruption of the Indian State, who thinks they will win the class struggle.

State, family and class:
My mother is part of this state. And as long as she is a representative of the ruling class, and I am a communist, I would die a thousand times than return to the family after betraying the people of the country. Family is not a neutral entity; it is part of manufacturing relationships. Samanta family was collective—because the family is the smallest production unit. Capitalist family is nuclear—where individual is the smallest single. So family is a reflection of the production system.
The state is the weapon of the ruling class dictatorship. India’s ruling class are buyers bureaucratic capitalists such as Adani, Tata, Jindal and Samanta landlords. Family is part of the upstructure, which imposes the ideology of the ruling class. As married rape is not recognized by law in India, because Samanta family considers woman as property, who has no right to consent. Families also reproduce ruling-class ideology—as children are discouraged to be revolutionary in the argument that “who will watch us in old age?” ”—This is how families act like a small state.
My mother is the son of Kroydas Amla and Zamindar family—she is a clear reflection of the ruling class, our class enemy.
My experience:
Delhi police special brunch picked up some comrades of Nazaria, FACAM and bsCEM on 9th June 2025. I strongly suspect my mother worked this in association with her batchmate and close friend Debesh Kumar (IPS 1995, currently top of Delhi Police). The day before I informed my family that I would work the UG system and no longer keep in touch.
Then my interrogation is regarding Rejaz’s arrest. Then I realized how rotten my mother is. He supported Maharashtra ATS threat, said: “If my daughter mixes with Maoists/Jihadis, it’s better not to be. “Later, in the controversy over Operation Kaga, he said: “All designs and their villagers should stand and shot dead.” ”
Going back to such a mother means betrayal with the people. So I became UG.
Why UG needs to be:
In today’s situation, Brahminist Hindutva Fascism (BHF) is running genocide publicly—Operation Kagar is proof. 30 revolutionaries were killed in one month in Karigutta hills in May 2025. They are not just armed Maoists, but common people, children, unarmed revolutionaries too.
The state is pushing war on indigenous people for the interest of imperialist funds—to loot natural resources for corporations. Democracy has abandoned all the pretends—pression is coming down on all those who oppose the state.
Lenin What is to be Done? Communists should act publicly under favorable circumstances. But today India is not favorable. Disagreement means arrest or fake encounter. So UG work is essential now to protect the revolutionary forces.
Many times in history, the revolutionaries have had to become UG – as Indira Gandhi’s emergency. Still need the same today.
Being UG means living like a professional revolutionary—whose only aim is to revolution, establish a dictatorship of a Proletariate by defeating the enemy. It is possible to defeat the state only through UG work.
Comrades, stand firm in our political-ideal-organizational line. Be ready to sacrifice everything. Not as individuals, but as true revolutionaries, we will win as communists. Must be UG if necessary, or arrest in public. Give life to the full revolution—death and revolution!
