American imperialist murderers: hands off Venezuela and its people!

Immediate international solidarity and condemnation of the invasion!

With today’s bombings in Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, the American imperialist murderers are escalating their encirclement and intervention in the country, demanding its complete capitulation and surrender. The American imperialist murderers, faithful to their “traditions” and their proprietary logic, demand Venezuela’s complete alignment with their plans and the unconditional surrender of its wealth-producing resources. To achieve this goal, they will not hesitate to shed the blood of another people, after all the crimes they have committed across the length and breadth of the Earth. Indeed, Trump’s statements that the US armed forces have kidnapped President Maduro and are taking him to the US, whether confirmed or not, are a new chapter in the violation of every concept of so-called “international law,” which only applies when it suits NATO and the US.

The American intervention is a brutal application of the “Donroe Doctrine,” that is, the demand that the Western Hemisphere be the fiefdom of the United States, preparing the ground for the confrontation in global competition that is unfolding with rival imperialist powers, with the ongoing war in Ukraine being the most important focus. The imposition of US ambitions by force of arms shows all the peoples of the world that no one is safe from imperialist competition, which is increasingly escalating into a global slaughterhouse. The Mediterranean, the Balkans, the Middle East, and our own country are all battlegrounds in this bloody competition. And the position taken by all the governments of our country alongside the murderers is dragging our own people into this slaughterhouse, with NATO bases, EU military equipment and budgets, and even Greece’s direct participation in wars. Therefore, this development must serve as a wake-up call for the Greek people and as a catalyst for participation in anti-war and anti-imperialist mobilizations.

Any moves by rival imperialists, Russia and China, to intervene in developments, are not aimed at bringing peace to the peoples and defending their rights, but at defending their own influence and imperialist interests. The escalation of competition between the US, NATO, and the EU on the one hand, and Russia and China on the other, is bringing humanity ever closer to the nightmare of a Third World War. In this bleak landscape, the working class and the masses are not called upon to choose sides between the imperialists, but to organize and develop their own struggle against imperialism as a whole, against the system that is dragging humanity into slaughter in order to overcome the crisis of capital.

Now, immediately, we must massively condemn US aggression in Venezuela. We must demonstrate our solidarity with the people of Venezuela against the new crime being prepared against them. We must defend their right to determine their own land and choose the future of their country, against foreign imposition.
